Memory dump on vista

My Vista Home Premium system is not writing memory dump files when it crashes that is, when gets a stop error with a blue screen. I need crash dumps when it gets stop errors in order to solve a consistent crash problem with some software. I have not observed any stability problems with my system lately, other than this crash bug with the software.

I am not aware of any NMI switch on my desktop computer, unless "NMI switch" refers to something like a keyboard sequence that I am not familiar with.

Total Recorder 8. I have been discussing it with the manufacturer, High Criteria, and they have a crash dump analyzer they want me to run on a dump file so they can try to figure it out. It may have something to do with my sound card's driver, but who knows without being able to debug this.
